Barbados
is an independent island nation and is the most easterly of the Caribbean
islands thus lending itself to a lovely tropical climate. The island
is 166 sq. miles and boasts a population of 260,000 people with one
of the highest literacy rates in the world plus a stable economy
with a democratic style of government.
The main money earners have traditionally been sugarcane and tourism and since the 1990’s a building boom has been on going, seeing hotels, houses, office complexes and especially condominiums springing up.
Along with the growth of the real estate industry, Barbados has been attracting many international activities and is proud to be host of the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly 2006 and to two major sporting events; the World Golf Championships 2006 at the prestigious Sandy Lane Golf Course and the ICC Cricket World Cup Final 2007.
The
confidence in Barbados expressed by the organizers of these events
and our stable economic and political history are indicators of our
ideal suitability as a location for investments in real estate.
